Product Description

One part, neutral cure silicone sealant ideal for preventing the spread of smoke and flames through expansion joints, or penetration seals in curtain walling, building facades or partition walls

Basic Uses
GUIBAO DJ-A3-119 Fire Resistance Silicone Sealant is specially formulated for

1. Fire resistance and smoke seal of the smoke flashing of curtain walls
2. Glazing and sealing fire rated windows and doors
3. Fire retardant penetration seal of wires ,pipes, cables and cable trays
4. Fire resistance sealing of other construction joints

Storage and Shelf Life
GUIBAO DJ-A3-119 should be stored in original unopened containers. It has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Surface Preparation
Clean all joints removing all foreign matter and contaminants such as oil, grease, dust, water, frost, old sealants, surface dirt, or glazing compounds and protective coatings.

Application Method
Mask areas adjacent to joints to ensure neat sealant lines. Primer is generally not required for non-porous surfaces, but may be necessary for optimal seal performance of certain porous surfaces. So adhesion test is always recommended.

Apply GUIBAO DJ-A3-119 in a continuous operation using dispensing guns. Before a skin forms, tool the sealant with light pressure to spread the sealant against the backing materials and joint surfaces. Remove masking tape as soon as the bead is tooled.

Limitations
GUIBAO DJ-A3-119 should not be applied:

1. For structural glazing  
2. To the materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents, such as impregnated wood, oil based caulks
3. In totally confined spaces as sealant requires atmospheric moisture for cure
4. To frost laden or damp surfaces
5. For continuous water immersion
6. When surface temperature below 4ºC or over 50ºC

Safety Information

1. GUIBAO DJ-A3-119 is a chemical product, not edible, no implantation into body and should be kept away from children.
2. Cured silicone rubber can be handled without any risk to health.
3. Should uncured silicone sealant contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical treatment if irritation persists.
4. Avoid prolonged exposure of skin to uncured silicone sealant.
5. Good ventilation is necessary for work &cure places.
